Title: 870 build
Post by: Browning87 on February 07, 2019, 01:26:31 PM
Last year I bought this 870 compact and didn't have time before the season to do anything so I hunted as it was. I decided to give it a make over. I contacted Tuckahoe Gunworks and hydrographics in Maryland for some cerakote and hydro dip. I had them do all the metal and grip plates in patriot brown then dip the stock in new bottom land. I also had them drill and tap the receiver. I put on a sumtoy mount and vortex venom 3moa red dot. I installed a timney sear and spring. Last year I was shooting a sumtoy 562-5 choke with one of Hal's loads. This past week at the show in Harrisburg I picked up a 562 from Indian creek to try out as well. Now for the weather to chang in the northeast and bring on spring(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190207/2fcd34205a4344ac68cf1c7d8ac9cd24.jpg)

If you don't mind me asking, what did it run to have the gun cerakoted?

That looks real good.  I like that the "grip panels" are brown too, brings it together.

And yea, this years northeast weather.... :( >:(

Sweet, love that combo!

I know it's a "compact" but do you happen to know what the actual LOP is?
