Yeah saw a few at longer ranges than that a few weeks ago in SD they folded like a cheap tent in a snow storm! 4 birds with my gun SBEII 24" barrel .665 Rob Roberts speedbead 27yards, 35 yards, 49 yards, and a severally misestimated yardage not by me, 64 yards. These yardages where checked with my rangefinder.

This is my first year using them and I am sold and yes my shells are this years lot #'s.

This was my first year hunting with Hevishot 3.5\2.25\#7s and I killed two nice birds with them so far.  The first was at 30yds and the second was 40yds.  It flat out hammered them.  My shells are also this years lot #s and they put 210 in 10" at 40yds.  Leaving for Kansas the first part of May!! :z-guntootsmiley:

My buddy was 5 yards to my right and this bird came from a long way, I clicked the safety of at 60 and he looked at me stupid...Decoys at 20 yds and he got to 40 and cruuuushed him..My buddy got in my A$$ and I just laughed..He said are you crazy?...and that I was lucky. I showed him the birds broke neck and guess what he took the next day...lol

Last year I was successful with 3 inch Mag Blends, this year I will try the 7s out in the field, as I like the way they pattern but I will back the first round up with a Mag Blend or 3.5 #6 shot as insurance. If I do my part I do not think I will need a second shot.

I hope he patterned them first.  This is what I hear from hunters in my area, and it concerns me.  "I'm shooting hevi-shot this year so I am good out to 60."  Most will not bother patterning it because it's "too expensive".  I like hevi, and will be shooting it.  Just remember, it is not a magic pellet.  As many have said before on this forum, there is no substitute for knowing your pattern.   Anyone who goes in the woods without patterning the shells is a very unethical hunter.  Anyone who shoots at an extended range because they "think" they can get him, in a very unethical hunter.  My feelings anyway.

Sarcasm detected.  You clicked off the safety at 60 yards, your buddy heard it, and you could see the stupid look on his face.  Hmmm!  Next, you shot a bird at 40 yards and this was so mind blowing that he decided to take hevi 7's the next day.  You did pattern the gun and all is well now.  Good luck to you.
