very nice but what is that on the top and bottom calls, is it melted wax kinda like Maker Mark?

It is some type melt medallion he includes with his lid holder. He did not put them on his older calls.
A bunch of fine calls, going to have to get one!

Craftsmanship looks incredible.. I have never heard any of his calls. Do you have any sound files posted of them?

Forgive my ignorance, but what does "Ebonized" mean? I am guessing blackened?

It is a treatment that Steve Brown applies to walnut that turns it black.
