I love how Ambrosia Maple cuts, turns, sands, finishes and sounds! First two I made were screaming turkey got three more that hopefully will follow the lead!~LG

I am putting crystal over slate in them although I put aluminum over glass in one and really like it as well. Has that aluminum sound toned down just a little....

I like Maple in general, I have an Ambrosia Maple scratch box and a Spalted Maple with green slate that I really like. Your calls look great by the way.

Thanks! I haven't been on OG a lot like I use to be so hope to be posting more! Never messed with splayed maple but I love the looks of it.

nice looking calls,, I really like to use ambrosia maple, the looks come from a little beetle.
