Title: Clint Corder pot
Post by: Browning87 on June 20, 2018, 11:10:50 PM
I received this Corder pot in a recent trade. It's glass over slate in a blue mahoe pot. I love Clint's glass over slate pots and this one is packed full of turkey!!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180621/1d552b87208440f4e35613332c10ccb6.heic)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180621/606f59e79bf0e27b5de8ca0e4207c661.heic)

I also have a Osage glass over slate from the same board his 2014 DD Adams call came from and that is the best sounding call I own

I have always loved Clint's pots, they are simply elegant and extremely clean.

I think I ready somewhere it was his real job plus burnout. From personal exp. I made calls mostly for fun when it gets to the point that its a job its not fun anymore.Plus most wanted the call a day before they ordered it.

Clint still makes calls, don't think he takes any orders currently, but i seen a call he just made this March 2018. He's still making them.

He is not taking orders from what I have gathered and he will not answer a fellas message inquiring about getting on a list even though he accepted my facebook friend request. Myself and a buddy of mine has reached out to him several times about just getting on his list for a call no matter the wait. He will not respond so he is not building calls for new customers. I would like to own one of his calls and a Platz badly but I'm not paying the prices these calls are bringing. I'll just buy from the less known call makers that are taking orders in hopes they are building some quality calls. If Corder and Platz ever start taking orders again hopefully I can get on the their list.

Clint seems to be a super nice guy all the calls I have from him I bought directly thru him.

Paul is also a very nice mild manner guy as well I have bought 1 call directly thru him and recently traded for another.

I suspect they both got overwhelmed by request and with families and full time jobs I cant say I blame them I would probably do the same as family would be number 1 priority followed by job to feed that number 1 priority.

If either one of them starts taking orders again I highly suspect that wont last very long.

Oh I fully understand their reasoning and definitely not saying I blame them. It would be nice to get a simple response from Clint stating he's not taking orders. I'm sure that is time consuming as well and I know he has to get a ton of messages asking the very same thing as I. Paul has been very nice to reply to my messages so I do have a little hope of getting on his list one of these days. If I don't get a call from either it's no big deal. Sooner or later another call maker that is taking orders will produce similar quality and I'll own one of theirs instead.

if i were them i don't think I'd ever start adding to the list again. With the market that's been created why not just limit supply by continuing to make a few calls, keep prices up and have a life? Seems like an ideal business model.

do you think that when they start up again, the cost of these calls are going to be $300 to $400 each??

I personally do not think either one of them would do that.
