Title: Baffled or Non-baffled?
Post by: coachA on May 18, 2018, 01:47:13 PM
Toward the end of the Season here in Alabama, I became a huge fan of the tube call. I was able to get more gobbles from a tube call than anything else. My question is for those tube call experts. Do you like baffled or non-baffled tube calls? Do you use them both in different situations? Thanks for any information you can share.

They both have their merit. This year, I used a baffled tube more than non-baffled. I got really good response from the tube early season.

I have used both, I feel a non baffled call is by far the better choice.

I carry both, which ever one  I grab out of my pocket,  I use. Either  one will work.

I have a small baffled tube by Nassen that has great higher pitched Jake gobbles in it.
Recently got one of Pappys non baffled tubes, great sounding call, nice yelps with some rasp, and a stronger deeper gobble that can be quieted down if wanted.

Non baffled is my preference.
I do use a baffled tube and a pill bottle for close calling at times but the non baffled Will work near or far , Just cup It and close it off.

I truly appreciate all the comments. I will probably just pick up one of each, because you cant have too many calls.

What do guys prefer for gobbling on a tube call, does a baffle help or hurt that.

Non Baffled is best for gobbling, you get more volume.
