Title: Oklahoma Success
Post by: Panhandle_strutter on April 27, 2018, 05:52:54 PM
It was a grind but my brother in law and myself both took a Rio this week. He shot his on Monday, and it was actually a banded bird Oklahoma State University had banded. Really cool stuff! The rest of the week has been a battle with hens and jake gangs and very little gobbling after the typical morning gobbling. Finally on our last day I was able to shoot one myself around 11:00. Crawled into his bubble behind a strutter decoy and ended up shooting him at 10 steps. We'll be headed back to Florida in the morning thankful for another blessed out of state trip!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180427/6790d1aa940b299018008ba70b3450d5.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180427/3d6eae0e7cead67098e594dea1c38324.jpg)
