I'm sorry that was talk to text. In the birds breast that I cleaned tonight it had green slime underneath the skin on the breast. And in the breast was pockets that look like feathers that have been drove in from shot pellets but it was not. Instead it was like the same stuff in a nightcrawler like mud. Would you eat it ,it didn't smell funny and the rest of the meat looked OK. Sorry for the earlier post I didn't proofread it

Sounds like that bird may have taken a shot to the chest in a previous season. I personally would not eat it.

I hate to waste any meat but I wouldn't dare eat it. Maybe cube it up and make channel cat bait.

Per your description, your Turkey has Gangrene as evidenced by
the "Green/Greene Slim".

Do Not Eat The Bird!  Just save your beard and spurs!

You might want to call the Game Warden and get another Turkey Tag!

throw it out, wash your hands in antibacterial soap, take two aspirin and go shoot another one in the morning.

Probably a good rule of thumb is When in doubt throw it Out...If I feel the need to ask it's going to the garbage...
