Title: South Texas in February?
Post by: WW on March 31, 2018, 07:55:16 PM
Have any of you guys hunted the fall season in South Texas? I spoke with an outfitter that said his birds have been hit since the first week of February and the fall season ends the last week of February.... I'm thinking of booking a fall hunt during the last week of February and calling them in. Input?

I'm in San Antonio and hunt the hill country in Edwards County, which is just north of south Texas. You might get some breeding related gobbling late February. Youth season where I hunt came in 3/10 and we had responsive birds... but it gets much better as our season goes on.

We had birds strutting and gobbling in mid February in Bee County.
