Title: Sounding like multiple hens
Post by: Footballer on March 11, 2018, 05:58:11 PM
Well, here's a tip that nobody asked for but I thought I'd share. It's hard to explain so I thought I'd make a little video. Does anyone else do this?

Yes and I run a mouth call at the same time as my CODY, I can call and answer myself too, once you learn it you can overlap calls just like a hen breaking in on a another hens talk.

Pretty cool idea. I know when I deer hunt in use an adjustable reed and mimic grunts with bleats and have and success working them against each other. It kinda reminded me of that.

I'll also flip my mouth call upside down to sound like multiple hens. You can sound like a whole flock with one mouth call and one pot call

That's glass in there sure looks like aluminum must be painted silver. Thing is raspy as all get out in your other sound file on the back end

Good tip, I would not have thought of that.

I do something very similar. I use one of my double sided calls along with a mouth & box call to sound like multiple turkeys. It works sometimes when nothing else seems to do the trick. Good tip!
