Hey everyone. So I know you have seen this question 100 times but mine is a bit more specific. So im looking for a ceramic call, I love the ease and how versatile they are. And some seem to have that really raspy sound that these Alabama bids sound like. Well I have researched and heard several. I loved the rasp of the American strutter i heard on youtube. But on here I see people love brad roberts, daybreaks and stumpy. But I cant find a sound file on most of those. Can anyone send me some CLEAR soundfiles? And also what are your personal recommendations If you're looking for RASPINESS like me? Are Stumpys calls really raspy?

I have had ceramics from most of the best and I keep going back to my David Halloran ceramic. It's got a nice high front with a raspy back and you can order a from Midwest turkey call or Mack's Prairie wings and have it in a few days. I also have a Lonzo ceramic that is really good!
this right here.
Ceramic may very well be my favorite surface to play
Here's a video I just uploaded of the Halloran Sassy Ceramic

I tested alot of ceramics at the convention and thought halloran and Houndstooth were the best. I went with houndstooth. I'll try to post a file this weekend for you. Some ceramic surfaces feel slick to play. Some grip well. The two I mentioned play easy conditioned or not.
