I think my son has the 40 yard mark well covered with this pattern...

Remington 870 Short Barrel
Nitro T321 - 3"
SumToy .665 - 5 Step Choke
9TSS
10" - 405
20" - 686
40 Yards

Just a flat out devastating hunting pattern!!!

If it's like most TSS patterns, about 12" wide or so - at least that's what I have seen in my loads. Some slightly tighter, some slightly less.

I think some guys have figured out loads that are a swath at 20 and still death at 40.

im curious as to damage to the bird at 40. This may seem stupid. but I cape all my turkeys out. and im wondering if its just going to shred them 1/2 way down there body every time I pull the trigger.
