Patterned the new federal heavyweight tss #9 in my 870 youth with several chokes.
Results at 40 yds:
Indian creek .555 ------------------(292-10)
Tight wad ------------------------------(274-10)
Trulock fed 7 choke --------------(208-10)
Carlson .555 -------------------------(185-10)
Rem super full (lead) ------------(175-10)
Jellyhead maximum ------------- (30-10)
I have no clue what happened with all the shot with the jellyhead choke. I shot a piece of cardboard that was 3'x4'. And the shot was so sparse. No concentration at all. However the Indian creek and tight wad did really well. The tight wad was a more even pattern but the Indian creek had a tighter core so i went with that choke. I didn't get to try my Carlson long beard choke as i was down to ten shells left after pattern testing and sighting in.
Forgot to put the ssx choke results up.
@40yds ------ (225-10) not too even though.
Tightwad or trulock would be my choice depending on evenness! Killer gun!

Couldn't resist and walked out and gave the Carlson long beard choke a shot.
@ 40yds------ (310-10) 75 degrees
How about your 20" numbers??? And I'm gonna say the load you shot through the Jellyhead was a dud.

Was this pattern even or super tight?
I posted the pattern with the long beard choke in the pattern section. I really liked the tight wad and trulock patterns. They were no doubt the most even. I'll try to post up a picture of those in the Pattern section also.
