I have asked couple members on this form. Just curious what your thoughts are. My question is it necessary to polish the barrel?Just picked up Rem.870 youth 20ga 21"barrel. Will use Trulock choke for Fed HW #7.

I would just clean the barrel good with rem oil or gun oil on some patches and try shooting your gun. That's all i did to mine and it shot great with the Trulock choke..
