Heavy W 7 are a hotter load than Hevi 7 and the Federal HW just pattern better....

I believe what makes all the difference to me is the flight control wad in the federal heavyweight 7s.

My 12 gauge shoots the hevi 13s ok but shoots the magna blends better.

My 20 gauge shoots the federal heavyweight 7's better

Both guns will kill turkeys with each shell mix or match it's just personal preference on what pattern that you like. I do not count numbers I look for a very consonant pattern of 20 inches at 40 yards and a very consistent pattern in the 10 at 20 yards.

Very fun and choke
Likes something different I tried different chokes and found for my 20 gauge was the Carlson extended no ported .575 and federal heavy weight 7 to be the pattern I likes out of my Thompson center encore pro hunger 20 gauge.

I found that the magna blend 3" 2oz 5,6,7 shot better our if all my 12 gauges.

Both shells are quality shells and I have both in my safe.

This year I am going to try some new shells and New chokes, it's something I enjoy doing.
