Post by: Sorgy on April 16, 2011, 12:06:04 AM
Do Jake wingbones make good calls? Are there any links on making these?

Thanks

I have never made one from a jake yet, but it shouldnt be that much of a difference in sound. When I made my first one I just googled for the info. All you got to do is cut the ends off, clean out the inside with a pipe cleaner on the smaller bone and using a knife or dremel tool to take the stuff out on the others. Boil them with a little dish washing soap or about an hour. Clean them off and soak them in hydrogen proxide for a few days. Glue them together and finish them as fancy as you want and your ready for the woods. Good luck
