Title: Brad Roberts Bronzed Glass
Post by: Coop1082 on June 14, 2017, 06:33:25 PM
Anybody wanting one of these, contact Brad! Just put up on his Facebook he found 21 pieces of glass and possibly the last he will ever be able to get. 107 dollars no matter the wood type. Money order and check only. Just letting anyone that's interested know.

I'm with you Babs. I picked up a Poplar Bronzed Glass off of the classifieds, then got lucky when Brad ran out of the glass initially and a fella backed out of his Blue Mahoe and I took his spot. Kind of wanted the trifecta with the Zebrawood as well, but I've got a lot of money out there on other calls currently! And your welcome OHTurkey!

I was able to snag a slot for one. Now I gotta figure out my combo.  After reading through this thread I'm thinking glass over aluminum in a mahoe pot...

I have had the zebrawood, poplar, and walnut.  All were awesome.  I liked the walnut the best, but after hearing TJ's mahoe clip I have to have it. Lol.   Anyone got suggestions on striker for the Mahoe?

I'm glad I got in on one of these spots. It's going to be few months until I get one. I got a special one on order. Just need the wood to finish drying!

Trying not to get too excited, but he thinks he has one piece left to make me a blue mahoe.
Of course the one night I work late, a post like this comes up...

yes

Ok, cool.  That's what I requested, along with his 2pc purpleheart/dymondwood striker.  Should see it in about 3 months.

Thanks Coop for the heads up!

No problem VT35! Like I said earlier  I wish I could've got on for the Zebrawood, but I've got some money tied up and others right now and my spending is about to take a hault here shortly. My second child (little girl) will be here in under two months, and priorities took over on this one. Already have the poplar and blue mahoe on the way and I would much rather see some good folks off of this forum come into one then I would some random guy on Facebook.

The zebrawood pops up quite a bit in the classifieds, so just keep your eyes open.

Best wishes to you and your family.  Hope everything goes smooth with the birth.

Can you share the details???'
There will be no more bronzed glass available in future?, is this kind of like dymondwood there was only one place making it and it's gone. Or it's not used anymore in the glass industry etc. I guess I should hold on to my zebrawood bronzed glass it will only get more valuable.?

I'm not sure exactly what the deal is. TJ (MDTOM) would probably have more details then me. All I know is a little over a month ago he ran completely out, and was no longer making the call due to his supplier not making it anymore. Then on Facebook the other night he posted that with the help of a friend he was able to find 21 pieces of bronzed glass, and that this will more then likely be the last run of that particular call that he can make.

Coop, I've got to thank you again for the heads up on this. I got mine today in a poplar pot. This thing is unbelievable! It will definitely find a spot in my vest next year. Here's a couple of pics.

No problem buddy! Glad you got one. You got one heck of a looker and a player there! What strikers did he sent with yours if you don't mind me asking? Looks like tulipwood and Katalox possibly? Just curious because if that is tulipwood I'd love to know how it runs from Brad! One of my favorite striker woods!

Left is a granadillo that I ordered separately. He sent the katalox with it. They both sound good on it. I also ran it with a Stuckey diamondwood for a little while last night that sounds really good.
