I ditched the 6's and our local store got in some Hevi #7's. My gun runs around 30-50 pellets behind everyone else with the 6's and it did not disappoint with the 7's. 42yds I got 265 in the 10", so around 30-50 pellets behind everyone else. The density it nice and very even, I have not done a 20" count, but it looks like most of the pellets are in the 20". I may send the barrel off after season to a good smith and have them flexhone that beast. I will post pics later.
Lot # 300500
Looks like if it doesn't have a 4 in the lot # they are the good ones.
That's a very good pattern Tom. Why do you shoot at 42yds?
I don't have a tape measure and I don't want to cheat and be at 39. :)
Another plus, the Hevi7's have the exact same POI as the Hevi6's.

They shoot the same for me as well.
Well Tom I guess you now know what the 7's have over the 6's. :you_rock:

Killed my frist 2 birds this year with the #7's 44 and 39 yds. Crushed both of them. I am sure you will see the same results :you_rock:
Those 7's are great :icon_thumright:
Another good pattern from a lot number 3005XX

With all the talk about old and new. I'm glad I ordered a bunch at the end of the last season.
God Bless,
David B.
I'm probably going to go buy the other 3 boxes our store has tomorrow.
what would everybody do if they was to quit making the "magic" lots of pretty holes in a piece of paper #7 loads
I would shoot 3" Win HV #4's which will go 100-105 at 40yds or the 3.5" Win HV 6's which will go 140-150.
Another thing to note about these 7's, they kicked the sheet out of me! I mean I'm talking Win HV 3.5" kicked. I looked at the primer and it was cratered and none of my Hevi13 6's are like that.

Don't worry Heath you won't feel thing when your shooting them at a gobbler. :z-guntootsmiley:
I actually thought it is a good thing if they have ramped up the velocity a bit. I'll sit down and shoot a box of the Win HV's it doesn't really bother me, it was just much more a jolt than I am used to from the Hevi13's.
I wish they would run them about 1300fps, talk about knockin' a birds noddle in the dirt!
I couldn't find my 20" circle maker so I did a 16" circle. 256 - 10" and 401 - 16".
