Anyone using the Fowler one piece Black locust and if so which surface does it sound best on?

No, but I want one bad! The black locust strikers I have heard were good on most any surface, a very versatile  striker.

I use it on slate, and slick aluminum mainly. But I have run glass and crystal with it as well. Just a very good all around striker by Harold for sure.

I have a 2 piece that will run on about any call that I have, it's usually always first out

The single piece Black Locust sounds great on just about every slate I own.  I'm a big fan of his ipe too.
