Title: Slick aluminum striker choice?
Post by: Coop1082 on May 13, 2017, 10:53:27 PM
What you guys running? The only slick surface aluminum I have is a Hank's padauk. Now that the season is over I'd like to try some others. Mainly ran it with a Halloran two piece dymondwood or Halloran one piece Ipe. What are some favorites you guys prefer on slick aluminum?

I like Fowler snake wood and tulipwood. Both seem to grip really well

Anything from Bill Lyman. His snakewood and tulipwood run aluminum extremely well. Fred Cox dymondwood runs well on aluminum also. That Hanks aluminum is a very good call one of the easiest aluminum calls I have ever ran. The turkeys like it too.

Dad's green laminate runs the best on mine.

The strikers I got from both Hanks and Lonzo worked great with their aluminum calls
