My David Halloran Ipe one piece striker is my #1 Striker. It plays great on any surface and they are only $15
I picked up one on MDTOM84's suggestion, I am loving it.  Very versatile.

I second that Halloran striker but honestly haven't tried any other callmakers work. Seems like any pot I go to that striker works nicely.

I didn't care for the Halloran Ipe one piece. To big of a flared tip. Get yourself a Mcclain black locust you will love it.

Going to third the Halloran Ipe. It's smoking on my Twisted Sister, and plays just about as well on anything it touches.

Harold Fowler makes a great Ipe striker, as does Bill Lyman.

I'm not a huge fan of ipe. It's a hard wood that to me seems almost too hard for most playing surfaces. Certainly doesn't require much conditioning of the tip because once it's set, it's set. Have a Halloran ipe. Had two. Gave one away. Kept the other. Figured I'd hold it for trading later.

Bill Lyman makes a mean ipe striker. Also like my Halloran ipe.

Love my fowler Ipe striker!  It was my favorite out of the 6 that I ordered from him.  He is super nice.
