I don't get to spend much time here anymore due to work, spending more time in the shop and other pursuits. I received a "messenger" message last night on my phone asking if I was making strikers for Knight and Hale. The answer was "NO", but I thought I would share a couple of pictures to see if anyone else sees a resemblance...

Top pic is from the Knight and Hale website. The bottom pic is a screenshot from my website. I do have to wear 2x reader glasses when I read or turn calls/strikers, but I didn't need them to see a resemblance. ???
I See a resemblance for sure
The Hanks striker looks familiar also.
yep similar
Looks like someone picked 2 fine custom strikers out of their vest and said here make em look like these
That's the first thing I noticed about two months ago when I saw their ad. Good luck fighting them though.
Sure looks the same to me. Not good.
You wouldn't be the first to be copied by the big guys. I'm not sure what you can do, or even if it would be worth it in the end.

Not looking for any kind of compensation or action. It's just a bit frustrating when you have turned a couple of thousand strikers over more than a decade with a specific design... then see a "very similar" design used by a big name company who will advertise it with pics and make lots of money with no concerns that their mass produced products look so similar to another product hand crafted by an individual. It is what it is.

I'm sure its a very back handed compliment, they want that custom look and picked a good one to copy. Unfortunately you get nothing for the 1000's of hours of R&D you did so a company can spit em out and up charge the patrons of Bass Pros and Ganders Mountains
