Saw the post about the Indian creek choke that was non ported non wad stopper that done well with federals. Called IC today they claimed to have not made that choke. I asked them to make me a custom choke like this one described and they wouldn't make it.
So back up plan I called tru glo reference the SSX they asked what shells I advised the federal 7's. They highly recommend and stated it was not OK to shoot the federals 7's in the choke. I advised them the internet was full of this combo and he said stay away from it.
So on to plan three!
search for the down n dirty haymaker choke for rem 20 non ported its made my IC its the one i shoot with fed 7s

So, why don't you just call Trulock and get one of their chokes they make specifically for the Fed. HW 7s. Highly Recommended.
That makes no sense about the federals and the SSX.
I shoot the federals out of my Mossberg 500 20 ga, with great success.
I would PM allaboutshooting (Clark Bush). He knows the SSX better than anyone, and he has many customers who shoot the feds with that choke with excellent results, myself included.
