Title: Conditioning aluminum

What does everyone use to condition their aluminum surface on their pot calls?

I clean mine off with a alcohol pad first, then use a purple or green scotchbrite pad to condition the surface.
All my aluminum calls are slick aluminum, but that's just my personal preference. Other guys love anodized surfaces, and I have heard and run some really good ones.

220 or smaller sandpaper on a slick aluminum surface. It'll bring em to life but lower the resale value. Do it lightly you just wanna groove up the surface not scratch it off. Scothbrite is a halfway answer it seems on my calls. You'll have to keep doing it. The sandpaper lasts a long time. My Dawkins however seems to run perfect w just chalk once or twice over a year ago. Hasn't slipped since.
Don't scratch up bead blasted btw, only alcohol on that
