No thanks, you can keep them things down there.
The one in the back must be tired, he's yawning.
that would ruin your day to step down between them, but that shadow looks like it's taking a fine bead on them.
I have gotten older and more beat up through the years .
But if I saw those I am as good as I once was ! As in getting the heck away from those.lol
Nothing more exciting than working a turkey with one sitting beside you watching the show.

Above what most people call normal
Coming from a family of rattlesnake hunters here in Oklahoma, that's still one snake I haven't ever been fond of.
That would be a great place to drop a quick $#!t lol!
Turkey or not if i see those i'm going in a different direction....Hate a snake of any kind...
I'd have to try to rearrange thier positions :z-guntootsmiley:
That's one of the only good things I can come up with that's good about snow and cold weather...
That'd be a great breedin' pair right there for somebody looking to get started. ????????
I guess they're just born with a bad attitude. They're the only snake that I know of that will actually come after you.
So show us the "AFTER" picture.....................
Those would look great glued on my bow limbs.
Heart rate.....it certainly woke me up , I was roosting birds for the ranch , all I had was a rifle in the cart for shooting yotes...with only one round , so I blew one nearly in half , I beat the other with a fence post , the one I shot came back and got up on the high part of a rut and stuck it's head up out the bush and knee high hieght, sneaky mo-fo
The moccasins are a very aggressive snake down here in Florida , they bite anything ...cattle , tractor tires , dogs , and worst yet people --
Nothing like hunting the southeastern coast to make you question every step. Sitting in a swamp bottom, hiding in saw palms, I'm constantly scanning left right front back and worst of all up! I hate cotton mouths!! (No offense "cottonmouth")

No thanks. Bad tempered critters!
Couple of whacks with a stick. My 40 acres is covered in them. I walked it with a biologist this week. I told him if he should come back during warmer weather watch out for them. We are blessed with a bunch here in SEMO.
I just hate that smell after I kill one!

Kind of walked right into that ;D. Better that than one of those no shoulders.
I honestly do not know how you folks with all the snakes dare to walk into the woods before daylight??
Im scared of even the smallest gardner snakes here in Pa!!

never worried about walking too much.............it was sitting, backed into a palmetto head, that had armadillo ( I hoped) borrows all over in it....especially on warm days after a cold spell. nothing can shake me more than the ''singing '' of a diamondback..

You don't dwell on the thought. If you do; you can't function. Until about 3 years ago; I squirrel hunted in tennis shoes. Coonhunted about 4 nights a week and still don't own snake boots or chaps.
I probably should add that I worked in the middle of the highway for years so I may not be best judge of common sense. I always said you needed to be aware of traffic but not terrified or you couldn't do your job.

If you hunted where I live, that wouldn't be a problem at ALL. No toothy crawlers just right here. But you don't have to go too far to find 'em.
I don't dwell on the thought of being in a car crash. But I wear my seatbelt........... same as I wear snake boots when I'm hunting where the nasties live. Yep.
Got buzzed around a rocky ledge one day, never did find any. Guess how many pair of snake boots I have used since!!
I'm all about a freebie but you can keep those. I have enough on my hands keeping a watch out for rattlesnakes and copperheads!

Friend of mine down hunting Osceola and all he sent me this morning is a picture of a cotton mouth and a big one at that! Yikes!
