I once played a deer grunt call that had a mylar reed with a ball bearing or a steel BB glued to the reed. Half on top and half on the bottom of the reed. It had a turned wooden barrel (walnut or walnut stained I believe. It sounded just like the windpipe of an old buck -- that deep rattle along with the grunt. Does anybody here know who made it or do they have one. I'll like to buy one.

I think it was called the Devastator deer grunt G-2. Anyone ever hear of it or know who made it?

Almost everyone uses that reed. Its a JC Products reed, you can buy them by the bag from them, or individually from places like Modern Call Products or All Predator Calls.com.
