Title: IC or Remington SF with TSS?
Post by: RiverRoost on March 24, 2017, 10:17:18 AM
Getting some tss 9's loaded for my 870 youth. Do y'all think I should try first the IC 555 or 562 or try to find the Remington SF?

This is just from looking at patterns not my experience but I would not shoot a 555 unless you just want to shred paper, to me the more open chokes 565-575 are better for hunting patterns.

I just bought an sa-20 turkey gun which has a 580ish tube, I am sticking with it unless it just performs poorly, tss seems pretty forgiving of chokes.

Start with a something cheaper like a Carlson .575. Tss is very forgiving on chokes like was said above.
