Glad to hear the Tanner recommendations, I just ordered one from him over the weekend.  Looking forward to getting it.  He recommended his walnut trough.

I never tried a trough call. Can you get loud with it or is just a soft talking call with minimal distance??

Got mine several years ago.  Don't know if the gentleman is still alive or not.  He was in his 80's and still hunting when I bought mine
