Bump

I'd also like to know what others use to trim excess hull when handloading. Thanks.

I use a dowel the same diameter as the inside of the shell.  Sand it so that it will slide inside the shell easily.  Get an exacto knife and stick it into the dowel where you want the shell trimmed.  Turn the shell and it cuts the excess off like hot butter.  I got he idea either off this forum or the other forum.  Simple and works well.

I do the same as DrDirtNap for my 10 gauge hulls. Put a screw on the end that goes into the hull and use the screw to adjust the depth the blade cuts

Don't have a pic of it being used, but here is my 20 gauge one

Thanks for the pictures. So do you put the other end of the dowel in a drill and hold an exacto knife, or other cutting tool, to the hull as it spins?

Took me a couple times to get the angle of the blade right to make an even cut. Then use the screw to adjust for cut length
