Title: Mossberg 535....How does the camo hold over time
Post by: longislandloco on February 21, 2017, 03:52:52 PM
I'm thinking of the Mossberg 535 Turkey/Waterfowl comb.....I see the camo on the Mossberg covers the magazine tube unlike the Remington 870 or BPS, does it ware well or does it scratch off from the slide moving over it.

Had mine 16 years or so and the paint is flaking off around the grip and the stock. It's the only gun I have killed turkeys with. Probly keep hunting it for a long time yet.

The ones that I've had have held up very well.

Thanks,

It will be like anything else. The more you use it, the more it will wear. I actually kind of like it when someone looks at my old 870 bottomland with the camo worn off in spots and says "wow, looks like you've used that one a lot".

while it's not a 535 (have a 835) fully camo for over 12 years and the camo is worn some at the trigger guard, other than that it has held up pretty good
