Went to Unicoi and was browsing around. Happened to pick up this little copper pot. Let me tell ya' this baby sings and Scott and his wife Lora are a couple of the nicest people you could meet. Scott's company is Bearded Hen Turkey calls and he goes by Mossyhorn2 on here.
I have historically had trouble consistently running copper pots but this one runs like a dream...And did I say it sings? Plenty of rasp. Nice break and kees like the real thing!

Let me tell ya' Brutha', this one is easy! I use it with a Halloran Ipe striker. It'll be in my vest for sure! I felt the same way about copper until I played this one!
Sixbird isn't lying that call sings for sure. I bought a beautiful crystal over slate from Scott and I love it as well. I tried to post a picture of it but I wasn't able. Scott makes some nice calls and the price is right!

I guess it wouldn't be a surprise that I'd recommend Bearded Hen. You won't be disappointed...
That's some nice wood on that call as well. Funny you mentioned the halloran ipe striker. That is the only striker in my arsenal that runs my copper calls good. I've even tried ipe strikers from a couple of others (Stuckey and Fowler) and they still will not run my copper like the halloran ipe.
I thought about contacting Harold fowler and see if he would make me an ipe with a thicker stem and flared tip and see if it would run like the halloran.
If you're looking for an Ipe with a thicker stem I would contact Bill Lyman. Callmakerman!!!
I ran a lot of Scotts calls at Unicoi. They all RUN. Very impressed and as stated, 2 of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
