The very dark box on front call is that persimmon,,is that the natural color or dyed, and does that make a good paddle material,,

Yes that's a persimmon lid on that with a poplar body. Turned out good was just something I was playing around with to see how it sounded.
It's just a little darker than the natural color I put a finish on them that really brings out figure in them
