Title: Crazy birds

16º, 21 mph wind, -1º wind chill, 12" of snow...........and there was a bird in full strut down the road from my house yesterday........with no hens around.......crazy!

you can bet there was a hen close by. probably out of your sight but not his

Same thing here in Iowa...saw a lone strutter a few days ago...all by his lone some...stopped and glassed him for a while...never saw any other birds in his area...crazy indeed

Nope, no hens......he was actually with a group of 5 other toms. Hmmm, maybe he was trying to impress the boys?! :o

They been struttin all deer season out in pastures around here but they had hens with them.

I thought it was april the first week of novemeber here.  Called in 3 that came in strutting and gobbling. Just enjoyed the show. A buddy heard one gobble sunday twice and have a few guys have seen them blown up here recently.

 The long winter has drove him crazy. He probably thought he was standing in a green field and it's 75deg. LOL
