So I'm stuck in the house lately with horrible sciatic pain my wife is gone at work. Boredom sets in so I decide to "MacGyver" a turkey call for myself. I only make scratch boxes so I needed something different. After playing around with a million household items and taking them apart I came up with this. The items are: 12 GA shell, cut off small plastic bottle top, plastic straw from soap dispenser, two small rubber grommets, and the metal tip of a pen. All fit snug and I used gorilla gel to seal it all up. (Thanks for that tip mmclain). It sounds amazing and plays very easily. I was impressed with final product.
My wife is gonna get home and wonder why her pens are all apart, the soap dispenser is missing the pump, and the cat is hiding under the bed. :OGani:
http://oldgobbler.com/Forum/Smileys/classic/TooFunny.gif Man that real good stuff. I can see the look on my wife's face when she came home and saw all these parts are laying around. Then there would be the classic what did you do. A quick trip to Walley World would make her happy again.
Allen---You are good my friend. Looks great and you sure are innovative.
Hopefully you'll heal up real soon!!! :TooFunny: :TooFunny:

Allen, a Classic for sure! Don't let yourself down. Use it opening day, you may be surprised.

Well thank you Robert. I like to play around and make calls I don't specialize in. Strictly for fun. But I ain't gonna share it unless it's all turkey. The wife made me go back and buy another soap dispenser. So I bought five. :funnyturkey:
Cool call, wishing you a full and speedy recovery, no doubt you will have a long and happy marriage as it is obvious you have embraced the way to one.... " I bought five" LOL
