For those not familiar with red mallee, it is a burl wood that no matter how much you sand it, more inclusions will appear. The inclusions ( small cracks in the wood) are easily filled with glue and dust from the sandings, but I took it a step further and filled each inclusion with silver leaf. A really beautiful call and sounds as good as it looks. Black anodized aluminum over slate. Ear piercing yelps on the aluminum, quiet and seductive purrs and cutts on the slate. I actually started this call a few years back and then put it in a drawer and forgot about it.
