Title: SBE 2 deal?
Post by: harleytom on April 26, 2016, 12:08:31 PM
I have an opportunity to buy a slightly used SBE 2 24 inch tube with Steady grip stock, sling, and a FF3 for around $1600. Good deal or not?

I believe so. That is about $100 cheaper than an out the box version.

Burris fastfire about $220

New sbe2 about $1600

Unless its the performance shop model, you are only saving maybe a couple hundred.

Not really it's like buying a used gun for a new price and getting a free used optic.

I was aways told that when looking at a used gun with optics, only pay what you would for the gun without optics. A lot of sellers will raise the price far to much for the optic on the gun.

I have the exact set up and wouldnt sell mine for 1600. I think it is a fair price but if you can get it cheaper than that is even better!

Cheapest FF3 is $229 + tax, SBE2 + tax is about or slightly higher than $1600 so right off the bat your saving $ on tax,but ifn you could get it for a lil bit less clearly better off. One thing to consider is what kind of shape the gun and optics are in and HOW the FF3 is mounted( speedbead or weaver mount on top of receiver) and also the FACT that Benelli's keep their re-sale value very well.
