Title: Call demonstration request
Post by: 357MAGNOLE on April 21, 2016, 03:23:57 PM
Anyone have a video they know of, or could make a good video showing the difference between Gobbler and Hen yelps on a pot call.

I can run hen yelps all day long, but not too sure the difference with the gobbler yelps.

Also, same for fighting purr.  From what I have seen it seems the same as a regular purr but more aggressive and loud with some clucks/cutting mixed in.

I was looking at this myself recently for the fighting purr...

I use a box call and a diaphragm call at the same time and generate a lot of noise...  I have had some excited gobbling, but no birds running in on fire.

I believe they are using a pot call in the top video, but the second videos give you a good idea of the noises that need to be generated.

I also was looking for gobbler yelping, and have found nothing.

Here's a good all around video, but check out the challenge purr at the 29:23 mark.
