Today I received my Gene's cherry slate pot call, really great looking call and sounds awesome... Thanks to Jed clampett for recommending the call to me, and thanks to Gene for the awesome call. I'll be posting some sound files shortly.

I told you they sounded good...that purpleheart glass sounds great as well....best 18.50 a pot I ever spent!!!! lots of strikers sound good on it as well...Del Crows(savduk) persimmon striker sounds real good on it

Yeah sounds great, very realistic and whole lot better than my cheap Turkey Thugs slate. This is my first custom call and didn't have much to spend and Gene's calls are exactly what I was looking for reasonable and good quality.
Have one of those also. Nice slate pot for the money. You just wouldn't think you could get a wood pot that nice for the price he charges.
Totally agree have the same combo's mentioned above as well as some other calls, heard about Gene through Jed as well!
