Title: Barnwood pot?

Does anyone make a pot in Barnwood? Not even sure if it would sound good

i did for a family that had a old farm and I think they sound good. it pine slate over glass

I did one from oak reclaimed from an old barn.  Sounded good.  I have planes to make some from reclaimed beech.

  you know, I never did see any barnwood trees around,   if it is from a very old barn, it might be chestnut.

I will be making up a batch rather soon from a 120 year old barn that we just took down next door. I believe the wood that I will be using is maple or pine. I have made a few of these from other barns and some sounded good, some were completely dead.
