Due to a death in the family and her prolonged illness I only started getting things started last week. I went out to some private land I'm going to hunt and was going set out my cameras and a blind. Scouted the whole property and found where pigs are rooting. I went out a couple days later to get my cards and see what was moving and saw a bird I've named half beard, on account of shooting it off with a crossbow last year. He was with about 10 hens. Got a nice pic of a second Tom. Today went to put my cards back and heard some rustling in the laurels so I just stared glassing and saw old half beard laying the smack down on a jake. Needless to saw I'm pretty jacked up for next Monday.
