Out of his strikers it would be Ipe first followed closely by Granadillo
Is Granadillo a one piece?
Dymondwood or Ipe, with Padauk being high on the list. I am a big fan of his one piece strikers and actually collect them.
Wenge, Hickory, and Yellowheart are very good, with Wenge a slight favorite.
Thanks for the pic. Now I have to add granadillo to my want list

From what David told me that the Granadillo striker mostly came with the cracklin crystal call
Gotcha, well maybe somebody will part with one
Love my yellowheart and wenge. My ipe is pretty good also.
Ipe and purpleheart

Ipe with yellowheart close behind. I prefer yellowheart on the CM.

You are getting 2 good ones. The blood wood sounds the best on his wenge slate along with persimmon a close second. That yellowheart and wenge striker sure sounds really good on crystal and glass imo.
I had an IPE just come with my Wenge Walnut and can't get it to sing like I'd like to. Sounds flat. The IPE sounds awesome on my twisted sister though.

try his yellowheart striker on your wenge and walnut slate.. Or his Hickory striker. With his yellowheart striker I can make his wenge and walnut slate sound better than any other slate that I have ever ran!!!!
Just ordered a yellow heart, the hickory is sold out.
Update. I've got the wenge walnut playing nicely with the ipe. Just needed to get a better feel for it and find the sweet spot.
