I have had a Sneed hot hen slate for 3 yrs now it sounds great but I have seen a few posted lately and they don't look like the same wood as mine...are there different woods that he makes this call out of? I was wondering if they sound the same....thanks

I don't know about the sound, but he has said he uses a couple different woods, depending on what he has available at the time.

I've had 8 or so calls from him, and none have been the same. All similar sound but nothing identically the same like most callmakers.
