Title: Supernova recoil pad
Post by: steve101610 on March 07, 2016, 06:30:11 PM
What is the best recoil butt pad for the supernova? I have the supernova with the pistol grip stock and the recoil pad very stiff. I have a few limbsaver slip ons but they don't stay on very good so I'm looking for something that doesn't slip on.

A Limbsaver is always a good choice but I use a Shooter's Friend on mine. http://allaboutshooting.com/products/shooters-friend-recoil-pad It only adds 1/4" to the LOP and I can take it off any time I want.

Thanks,
Clark

I just replaced the factory pad on a regular Nova with a Limbsaver made for the Nova. It had a plastic adapter that fit inside the hollow stock, and it fits nice. Still need to get it to the range, but it feels like a very solid fit. I'm not sure about the pistol grip, if it's hollow like the regular stock? They make them for both, I believe...

If it is the hollow one - it's recommended that you start the plastic adapter onto the screws leaving a gap, insert the plastic sleeve into the stock and then tighten. I did this, and did not have any major issues installing.
