Title: I need a new call.

Run a Roberts Brothers pot call just about all the time. It sounds awesome but I need to add one more pot to my vest. Which brand/material do yall recommend.

What surface is the Roberts call and are you looking for a different surface?

I'm kinda bias but anything Halloran works well if you snoop the classifieds there is always good deals I seen a houndstooth slate there the other day

I would vote for a sneed green glass. It's easy to run, sounds great, and has a differnt tone than most others. Definitely a killer. I have a lot of calls. Definitely one of my top favorites.

The Roberts bro is glass. I would like to add a different call, I've always thought slate sounded great but not biased to one surface or another

Slate would be a good choice since you already have a glass call. Halloran or Lonzo's would be your best bet for getting a good one fast. Lots of other great choices but they have a pretty long wait. Chuck

I recently picked up an Atomic 13 aluminum call from Jimmy Schaffer and the more I run it, the better I like it.  Also very easy to run.

Lonnie Sneed Hot Hen Slate or his Outlaw Hen Glass.Both are great calls. I just got the Outlaw Hen yesterday and its an awesome sounding call.Both will be in my vest this season

Lon sent me this sound file last night it is ready to ship I told him I wanted a raspy one And that sucker sounds good but I went with a orange agat glass over aluminum

You won't go wrong with one of Mike's calls.
Runs with the best of them and very helpful.
Look in the classifieds for some of his videos.

Here's the link to Mike's calls he posted in soundfiles - he plays the different surfaces so you can hear which type you might like. EVERY surface will work, there is no "magic" one, but I'd pick something that sounds slightly different than the one you have.
