I was in Jefferson County Sunday the 21st, lots of sign - heard 0. They should be cranking up shortly.
Went out to my lease in Jefferson County this am and heard 7. Gobbled decent on limb and one Gobbled twice about 20 min apart then quiet.
That's good to hear. I'll be listening this coming Sunday. Where about is your lease? I'm a little east of Fayette off 28.
its on the Jefferson / franklin county line heading towards Fayette from 84.

Went out this morning in central Mississippi and heard 1 bird gobble about 60 times. I know that there are more gobblers in this area, but he was the only one singing this morning.
Heard 3 this morning and my buddy that was with me on the other side of the lease heard 3 as well. They weren't hammering away, but good enough.
Heard one bird Saturday morning in North MS
Heard 0 so far.
Heard 6 birds Saturday morning... one was still hammering when I moved to another spot at 7:15 the others were done by then.
Haven't heard one yet but word is they are beginning to crank up.

Ha. I agree. This rain is something serious. Hope it all moved out before the opener.
I'm suppose to go with a buddy to take his nephew this weekend. I think it is suppose to be raining though. Also found out I may only get two hunt two weekends this season due to work, so I'm pretty much crushed lol.
