Title: Shurshot stock camo question
Post by: kdfester on February 22, 2016, 02:39:41 PM
I have an older 870 Super Mag in Advantage classic camo and would really like to add a shurshot buttstock to it and keep the same pattern. I've been told I can not have it dipped due to the pattern being discontinued. I have found some sheets and rolls of heavyweight fabric tape in Advantage classic and wondered if anyone has tried to customize their buttstock this way? Think it will hold up? Thanks

I just ordered from a 15" x 60" strip from Camoclad to do a shurshot stock for a  20 gauge 1187. I used a pre-cut kit from them on a SuperX2 several years ago and it has held to lots of hunting as well as several out of state trips with no ill effects or fading. Good product in my opinion...

I very much like that idea of the vinyl adhesive products but unfortunately I have not been able to find it in Advantage. I would like to keep the whole gun same pattern. This tape is just that a fabric tape designed to be used on treestands and atvs and such. I found it on ebay.
