I hate to admit it, but this call sounded pretty dang good when I played it the other day. In fact, it sounds very good for a production call!

I bought one for last year and learned a valuable lesson. Don't use it in the heat of the moment. It's not any fault of the call. Playing around with it at home leads to zero issues. However, when a bird is closing the distance and I try to use it, it get way to excited and apply to much pressure with the striker. Next thing you know I've done screeched him right out of the area. Had 2 occasions that happened last spring. Working birds across a field and got too excited. No fault of the call. It's all nerves.

Just got one the other day... seemed like it was polished smooth, roughed it up for quite a while with the scotch-brite pad.  After what seemed like an eternity, it started sounding pretty nice!  Impressed thus far.

Don't forget about cleaning your striker tip , it can get quite hard and polished from the bare aluminum.

I just heard a soundfile of this call and man it sounds good.  Guy was running a Dads monkeywood striker but a great sounding call.

Awesome call guys, can't beat it for the $$ and being a production pot call.

I had enough Cabelas points so I grabbed one. Quite possibly the best production pot call or mass produced call I've ever ran.

I'm not much on fiber strikers but it comes with one too. (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160218/3cc04a37826e71d5f709f514369c0de1.jpg)
