How old is your vest or do you tinker? I go through them quickly, and at one time started not taking one with me, but missed it for some reason or another tradition I guess. I wish I could find one that I would say this is it....no more....but I am constantly tinkering and finding another I want to try so as soon as I get rid of one 3 more sprout up. Please tell me I am not the only one out there. :TrainWreck1:
I have 2. One is about 12 years old. It is ready to start hunting alone soon! It is warm and heavy as heck. Perfect for chilly mornings. I got one last year which is lighter weight, does not pack much, but is perfect when it is hot or I plan on being mobile and hostile.
Now turkey seats? that is what I can't seem to find just the right one.
No vest for me anymore... changed over to a hip pack 3 years ago and not looking back.

Just bought my fourth vest in about 15 years. I have one I keep as a spare but rarely use so I'm getting about 7 years out of 'em.
My vest is so old I have no idea where I bought it. It is at least twenty-five years old. No tag or any thing else left to spark my memory. I hunt almost every day but I do take care of it and wash it after toting a bird out of the woods. it is well built. Heavy cloth and hot in the late season. I do admit to being a tightwad and if I can repair it , I keep on using it.
My vest is over 12 years old it was a gift from our local chapter of the NWTF were i was president of our chapter for 4 years..the vest i had before that was over 8 or 10 year..i don't use a vest any more. i use a range bag or hip bag...To old to run and gun any more ..i just build 3 to 4 good blinds and hunt out of those..
I bought a Super Elite 3 when they were sized,so 20 yrs maybe. It's still like new because I bought a large and when you put stuff in it it is to small for me. I have three SE 3 , the I use in the fall is WELL used.
My super elite 3 is about 7 or 8 years old and it's been a good vest. Thinking my next will be the new se 2 or an ol Tom.
Had my super elite 3 about 8 years now. I gave my original vest away to a die hard turkey hunter I worked with who couldn't afford one. A wife and 4 children didn't allow him much extra cash. Killed a bird the first day he wore it so now it's his lucky vest. Love the elite though and never wash it. Love the blood stains on the seat.

This will be my current vest's 4th season and I'll be very disappointed if I can't get 5-7 seasons out of it.
This will be my eighth season with my Limbhanger and its still in good shape. Wish they would make them again...or the Bob Dixon knockoff.

Yeah the limbhanger....I could not remember the name....yeah I wish they made that one again.
This will be my fourth season with my Tatr 2 and I love it. I will keep it until it falls apart and then I will probably patch it to get more years out of it (one because I love it and two because I am cheap...lol)
ive used a super elite 3 for the last 8 or 9 years,i had to sew the game bag strap once because ill put my coat and water in there and it finally gave out.but sewd it and its still going strong.
I'm on my 3rd in about 16-17 years. I had a fourth I used only one season but I hated it and sold it.
Purchased it from Cabela's about 8 yrs ago and its seen better days. The buckle straps on the seat cushion have been sewn more times then I can remember and the Realtree camo is fading fast.
Seems like I get a new one every year. Have a TatR III now and plan on keeping it until a TatR III comes out in bottomland.
Bought a primos vest about 11-12 years ago and still using it. It's never been washed and still looks good. I don't get to hunt quite as much as many of you guys but it's still seen its share of use. Our season is only a few weeks and I only get to hunt weekends. Occasionally get to take a day or two off to hook up with Happy and we'll chase them around the mountains some. Hoping to get a few more days this spring though. Anyway, the vest is still holding up quite well. No complaints at all.
I forget exactly how old my vest is, but It's OLD. It's been sewn in so many different places over the years that there's probably more new thread in it than original, lol. My girlfriend and I both have some health issues, and we've been living on a very limited income for the past several years. It seems like there are always things we need more than new hunting equipment, so I don't spend any more on it than absolutely necessary these days. I don't mean to complain, but it has been an adjustment. Now that you mention it, May is coming and It's about time to get the needle and thread back out. ;D

I have a Limbhanger the same age that I love. Wish I'd bought another one back then. I can't really figure out why they quit making it in the first place.
I gave my previous Field and Stream vest from around 1999 to the property owner at my old lease who doesn't turkey hunt much. It will probably last him the rest of his life.
I still have a Spartan Realtree vest that has button pocket closures from around 1991 or so. The foam pad in the butt pad is as thin as they come and not even close to comfortable. It was better than nothing, but not by much

Very old so old its sad, the camo is faded has holes where I look like a porcupine because of the strikers sticking out of pockets but its carried out many an old Tom and some things are hard to give up I'm sure the straps are about to break but I dread the day I have to retire it
Mines about 8 years old. I look at new ones all the time but mines still in good shape and since I'm usually hunting alone, it's kinda like my hunting partner. It's a beard buster ripcord. (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160211/f20acddd38d56dfea8dcc74d834ec577.jpg)

Been using the same vest since 1995, it's an old HS strut strap vest. The zippers are about to give out, the elastic on the shell holder is shot and my dog chewed on one corner and put a tear in it but other than that it does it's job. I can't seem to part with it because it functions for what I need.
Ive got a primos vest ive been using since I started turkey hunting this will be its 17th season! its heavy but does the job and is some what comfortable. will probably use it till it falls apart!
I have a Primos Gobbler vest, but I rarely use it. Only when it is cold out. I prefer to use the Beard Buster Belt. I added a couple of more pouches to it to carry all my stuff, but I like it. I also mainly hunt down in Dixie, so I find a vest to be hot and cumbersome.

I have an HS Strut Sport Utility Vest that I've had for about 4 years or so. I have no complaints thus far
