Title: African Blackwood with birds eyes
Post by: antnye on January 31, 2016, 08:02:43 PM
This African Blackwood/Ivory has birds eyes! Couldn't get it to pick up good in the pic. But it looks awesome. Next is dogwood/corian followed by zirocot/buffalo. 3 piece calls are black and white ebony/ipe. Brazilian rosewood and cocobolo. Last is desert iron wood. Productive weekend!  Anything to stave off the longest months of the year!  Come on March!

I live an hour or so away from Anthony so figured I would try one of his trumpets. I bought the Desert Ironwood call shown in this thread, boy is it beautiful. I have never owned a trumpet or wingbone call so I am figuring out how to play this darn thing....lol.... I can tell already that it is going to sound great once the player catches up to the calls potential. I'm hoping to be confident enough to try this call along with my homemade scratch box calls. These crazy public land birds I hunt will have a few new hens talking to them this year.
