Title: Lookin for a good striker for my kee disc.
Post by: Wannahunt on January 29, 2016, 04:38:33 AM
Any ideas? There was a feller from PA that supposed to make a good one but I can't remember who and what wood it was from. It had a weird name.

I wouldn't say that Roger Parks has a weird name. He's the one that came up with this style call and still makes the strikers. Fred Cox also makes a kee kee striker

I think he was referring to the wood having a weird name, not Roger.....

Roger makes a strker from Rhododendron, the kees are phenominal, the yelps are a lil on weak side because of the lack of weight in the striker.  You can glue dime to the end of the head and the yelp gets pretty good.

Cox- makes a dymonwood kee striker, they kee and yelp very well, but the dymonwood kind of scars up the aluminum surface.

Matt McClain- makes real nice kee striker also.

Kevin Kirkpatrick from SC is making some nice kee strikers also.  not sure of the wood.
